Michael has spent his entire career in the insurance field He began his career in 1988 with Guardian’s S&W Agency (now known as Strategies for Wealth). Over the past 30+ years, he has earned a reputation for his industry knowledge and expertise, his commitment to his clients, and his overall passion for his life’s work.
Michael, President & CEO of Silver Lining Insurance Agency, Inc., is responsible for new business development, as well as client relations and sales. He is a committed advisor and helps our clients make educated choices on what product or service best suits their wants. Over the years, his practical experience and proactive approach have allowed him to advise both individuals and businesses on how to identify and manage their level of risk.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations. Michael was raised in Livingston, New Jersey, and returned to raise his family. In 2019, Michael and his wife of 30 years, Daena, moved to West Orange, NJ. Michael has two grown daughters and a “soon-to-be” son-in-law.
Through the years, Michael has been an active member of numerous township committees and has sat on the Board of his local synagogue, where he served two terms as President. In 2012, Michael was elected Councilmember to the Township of Livingston, and in 2014 and 2015 he served as both Mayor & Deputy Mayor. Michael is also active in several other philanthropic endeavors.
Viviana joined Silver Lining insurance Agency as a Personal Lines Account Executive. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of personal lines account management, and successfully guides both prospects and insureds through the coverage process. Viviana is focused on providing clients with the highest levels of service and the best coverage solutions for their unique situations.
Viviana began her career in the insurance industry over 10 years ago. Viviana was born and raised in Brooklyn. She enjoys long walks, vacationing with friends and family, and spending time with her French Bulldog Niko.
Marla serves as Silver Lining’s Director of Marketing and is responsible for creating and implementing the Agency’s strategic marketing plan. She uses the Agency’s mission to guide and direct the overall strategy, therefore emphasizing both educating and engaging SLIA’s personal and business clients.
Marla has worked in the financial services industry since 1990, having begun her career on Wall Street. She has worked extensively across product management, marketing, and relationship management, offering creative input and high-level strategy from social media and email marketing to analytics and customer experience.
Marla holds a B.S. degree in Management and Marketing from the Binghamton University School of Management. She and her husband Harold have lived in Livingston for over 22 years. They have three children and are getting close to becoming empty nesters! Marla serves as an Executive Board member of her synagogue and volunteers on many local committees, including the Livingston Committee for Diversity and Inclusion. Despite her busy work and volunteer schedule, she still finds time to enjoy hiking, yoga and spending time with friends and family.
Diana joined Silver Lining Insurance Agency, Inc as the Director of Operations. She is the business liaison who oversees the administration of Office Services, Human Resources, Information Systems, and Accounting. Her main objective is to provide support, leadership and to ensure all organizational systems and procedures align with our company objectives and core values.
Diana started her career in the healthcare industry over 25 years ago. Over time, she has gained working knowledge in marketing and the implementation of employee benefit programs. Her career evolved into a Business Analyst role. Working closely with stakeholders to identify and understand business operations, her goal was to improve efficiencies and technical processes. With prior experience in Office Management, she also had diverse responsibilities within the daily operations of the business. Diana approaches all aspects of any role with a positive, hard-working mindset and a passion to find a reasonable solution.
As a native New Yorker, Diana loves the hustle and bustle of city life. She currently resides in Queens, NY, and enjoys long walks, historical architecture, board games, and spending time with family and friends.
